ARTIST STATEMENT
My earliest memories of making art are blissful. I believe creativity is part of everyone's nature and should be nurtured. Art allows us to slow down, focus, notice, document, ask questions, search our souls and discover.
Love what you do. Do what you love.
I've held various art positions in the fashion and garment industry, My most significant role was teaching high school art. It was an exciting and rewarding career. I was continuously inspired by my students!
I enjoy drawing, painting, mixed media and printmaking. I love to include type, maps, collage, texture and stamping in my work. In addition, I make journaling and sketching a daily practice. My pet portraits and house paintings began as family gifts. Soon after, I began getting requests. I work from photos. The more detailed information I have, the better I can capture the subject. These paintings make meaningful gifts! Contact me for more information.
Open your eyes to the world around you and never stop learning!
